UMA REFLEXÃO SOBRE DIFICULDADE DE APRENDIZAGEM DE ANÁLISE COMBINATÓRIA

Resumo

Análise Combinatória é a parte da Matemática que trata de problemas de contagem. O processo de aprendizagem dessa disciplina não é dos mais simples e normalmente o aluno deve passar por várias etapas antes de se chegar à solução do problema. Essas etapas serão abordadas neste texto. As dificuldades na aprendizagem dessa disciplina são muito perceptíveis, mesmo entre os alunos do ensino superior, sobretudo das IES que não fazem seleção muito rigorosa. Neste texto pretendemos apontar os principais fatores que geram tais dificuldades. Apresentamos também uma terminologia alternativa para os termos geralmente usados, com o intuito de facilitar a compreensão do problema. Como se diz no meio acadêmico: entender o enunciado do problema é meio caminho andado. Esse, pois, é o nosso propósito.

The combinatorial analysis is the Mathematics topic that deals with counting problems. The learning process of this topic is not of the simplest and usually the student must go through several steps before reaching the solution of a Math problem. These steps are discussed in this paper. The difficulties to learn it are noticeable, even among students in higher education, particularly in schools where there is not a very strict selection in the entrance exam. In this paper we intend to identify the main factors that generate such difficulties. We also present an alternative terminology for the terms generally used in order to facilitate the understanding of the problem. As they say in academia: understanding the statement of the problem is half the battle. Thus this is our purpose.
